I saw the other topic about 1 din or 2 din motorized flip out screens and decided not to hijack the thread so I'm starting this one.

A friend of my baught a 99 Tib last month and is looking to get rid of his stock headunit. He wants a motorized flip out unit. He needs mp3/fm tuner/dvd player on the screen but he doesn't want to pay 1400 for a pioneer. He has seen some on ebay that run for around 340$.

The thing is he doesn't have money to spend 1400, and he knows that you get what you pay for but he just wants it for "bragging rights". Thats what I understood when he was explaining it to me, so I thought i'd help him get a cheap alternative.

Any of you guys have a cheap flip out screen or any inputs on which to buy etc. Any help would be great.

I don't need the "They are junk get name brands etc" because he knows that and I've told him but this is what he wants lol. cool.gif

Im pretty sure Kenwood has some for around 500 or so on ebay and even at best buy. I would look into those maybe
I may be thinking of jensen, not kenwood. check into those. if you come across a seperate flip out screen let me know cuz that is what im looking for. good luck

hmm doesnt seem like theres much choice but to get an off brand off ebay. maybe try to find a used one
