Sorry buddy. Didnt look to see who actually posted it should have been meant for the one who bought the tach.
Man this whole dual coil thing kinda sucks. I'm used to working on a chevy 350. hehe.

If I am correct Random go ahead and correct if you please the tach in your car is not as acurate (at least that is what I was told). If you get a performance tach I don't know of any real brands off my head but for me if I was a die hard racer(which I am lol) I need a tach I can see easly and that is way more accurate, and adjust my shift points. If you need me to retranslate what I wrote post it.(lol) eek.gif

Autometer has the monster tach but dont realy need to use it. Autometer makes a large shift light that you can plug rpm "pills" into bought seperately from the tach in I think 1500 rpm ranges in 100 rpm increments. Even if the stock tach was in acurate what do you really need to look at it for if you can see the light from anywhere in the car and on the sidelines of a drag track for that matter. The tach signal that the stock tach is getting is just about as acurate as taking an MSD window switch that MSD can modify for dual coils. The signal is pretty much the same. So the only difference in the tach readings would be from the response time the meter dial needs. WHich is very menial to say the least. (about 5-10 RPM) or maybe .001 sec in a quarter mile. ) But f you use the shift light with the pills you can be told to shift.
By the way I am impartial to these shift lights because I plan on putting two of them (different colors) on mine. One fr upshift and one for down shift. I Plan on road racing and not 1/4 mile.
f cours I am probably wrong but I am sure once Random sees this he will correct me where I am wrong.
