See, the good thing is with the 3 screens I have, the Clarion HU lets me do dual zone sound. I can have Xbox sound in the back and DVD sound in the front for me and the wife.
I was considering having all the carpet replaced with that dark blue carpet anyways. If I do, I'll just carpet from front to back with it and cut holes to mount the seats. I actually really like that idea now. 2 more buckets in the back, could use the stock Seatbelts. Put the motherboard and powersupply in a modified thinner case and mount it in the rear on the side. Run long power and IDE cables to the DVD and Hard Drive mounted in the console. Wonder if it'll fit.

First off, you do not need three screens. Send two of them to me, and then you will be good to go. wink1.gif
There are two possibilities that I was thinking of for when I mount mine.
A) Make a custom box out of MDF with black carpeting. The box will fit underneath the glove box, in front of the passenger seat. Have it big enough to hold the Xbox and the power inverter. On the left, towards the console, have a fan drawing air into the bottom of the box. On the right, towards the door, have a fan blowing air out. We both know how hot they get. Have hinges on the front of the box, so you can remove the Xbox if you need to. But, have holes cut out for the drive tray, and one center hole for the controllers. You can get some sort of velcro strap to secure the xbox inside the custom box. I think it would work, and if done right would look pretty cool.
B) Remove the DVD drive and USB(controller) ports from the XBOX. Have someone make you a custom case for the XBOX that does not have the controller ports or DVD facia. Towards the base of the XBOX have them make some sort of mounting tabs. If you look at how an Infinity Bass Link mounts, you will understand what I am talking about. Get a 4 foot round IDE cable made, and mount the DVD drive to the back of the center console. Run some USB extension cables and mount the controller ports vertically, one on top of the other, or two horizontal and two vertical. Make a power and eject button, or remove the originals, and just extend the wiring, and run them to the center console as well. If you get a custom XBOX case made from fiberglass, have them make it so a 120mm fan will fit in there, it will be alot quieter than what they have now. You could go wild with the design also, and put in some ducts and stuff with leds lighting it up. Would look awesome!

A)i wouldnt make it out of MDF wood. fiberglass or ABS plastic is a lot easier to mold to the curves. plus MDF wood is usually only used for subs and would be heavier than fiberglass or ABS. check outhttp://www.selectproducts.com/product.htm for that stuff.
B)for fans check out some of this cool computer ricey stuff. http://www.fleetwoodcomputers.co.uk/defaul...lt.php?cPath=70. check out the accesories catagory too. hehe this website is cool toowww.sunbeamtech.com

I have a son who rides in the back. He needs entertainment to keep him off my case when I'm driving like a stock car racer. I got a great deal on my stuff, so blow me and get your own. wink.gif

Not a bad idea man, but it'd be too thick and too big with the size of the Xbox allready. Sometimes on long trips, I ride in the passenger seat, I dont' want to have to deal with that big box in my legs.

Now THAT is more like it! I was looking at my Xbox case and agree. If I could get those controller connections and run them that far, I'd do that in an instant. I'll put up a crude drawing of my idea from Paint in a bit. Here's my whole idea so far...
2 new front seats, take headrests off and re-cover seats. Mount them both in back for 4 bucket seats. Recarpet full interior with new dark blue carpet. In back of console, put Xbox DVD drive/Hard drive and controller ports. With all of that out of the way of the Xbox, I should be able to cut the case top and bottom for the Xbox and make it about as thick as a Laptop computer. Reseal the box and mount it either between the seats in the back (After doing some lighting mods to it), or in one of the spaces in the trunk. When I get a full enclosed system later, I will integrate it in there. I'll have to hook up some new fans to it I think, but it'd look good!
I can get a spare case for the Xbox for only $20 and am currently looking at what is available for aftermarket "Body Kits" for them. lol.gif
Let me whore around a bit and I'll post back here shortly.

Tripple post, I love me!

Shows what can be done.
Maybe I should just get that chair and put it in the back? lol.gif

RedZ, to be honest I skimmed a lot of the posts, you might of had the same idea.
How about cutting a hole in the dash board and make the CD tray fit in there somewhere? The same way it looks with the chair, just the CD tray sticking out, everything else is hidden inside. Or make a custom set-up with the glove box where there is no glove box. (If that made any sense)
Do you see what I'm saying?
Honestly, I would like to see it with a Gamecube, with the way it opens, you could just replace the center console with it's lid style. Not a bad idea since they are only $100 now. Probably $75 for a re-furb.
If you do something as cool as what it sounds like you have planned, next mod has to be force feedback seats!
Something you might find funny is how damn hard it is to mod a PS2, people do, but it's just so damned fragile. Obviously it's inferior plastics. laugh.gif

Uhm, definately not gonna cut up the dash.
When I have a chance, or someone can get me the measurments I need, I'll draw it up.

What measurements did you need? I am confused. You are going to try to put two of the front seats in the back minus the headrests right? So you want me to measure the width and height of the seat area?
