It reminds me of a portable computer that you had to wear to your belt. About the same dimension.

The screen was a 2000$ pair of glasses...

All the specs are more or less the same. Something like this would be mounted in a semi out of the way location, so appearance isn't THAT important.

My main reason for wanting one would be haltec software and play DVD videos, all on one screen, at the same time. (hows that for a contradiction/oxymoron)

Price is pathetic. You can build lunch box sized ones for about $300.

And I bet you could get that size for a little cheaper

Eh, Kinda cool, but you can build one much cheaper than that.

First off, all of the components don't have to be in one box. You can have the mobo in one spot with all of the other components near by.

I have been pondering the thought of building a PC in my Tib.

I once saw here someone who had made some speaker boxes that fit in the recesses in the trunk of their tib which got me started on this. I plan on doing the same thing, only I want to run the CD-ROM drive up front underneath my deck.

So my plans are, on the left side of my trunk, build a box out of MDF in the recess, and exhaust it into the trunk. Mount the MOBO (and components like sound, video, etc), power supply, hard drive ( I will use a smaller hard drive for the OS, then use a removable large firewire drive for data storage. There will be USB, sound, and firewire ports in the following locations: replace the ashtray on the rear of the console with a piece of colored Lexan or plexi (I plan on having LED's behind it), replace the large pocket in console with another outlet for USB, FireWire and audio. Run the sound to my AUX in on my deck. The only thing I don't have figured out yet is what I want to do for a screen.

Some may ask why not just use a laptop? Well, a couple of reasons, first off, I don't have one that I want to throw in my car. Second, besides the LCD screen, MDF, and plexi, I have all of the components necessary to do this.

Currently I have an iPOD hooked to my deck, which is full. To buy a new one costs 500 bones (20 gig model). Since I obtain a lot of free, or at cost parts due to my job, I would have about 200 bucks invested in this (not counting LCD)

1.0 Ghz P3 on ASUS mobo (free)
10 GB HDD (free
Sound Blaster Live MP3 (free)
ATI Radeon All in Wonder 7500 (75 bucks)
NIC (free)
Power Supply (Have tons of these, some I bought, some were free)
Sound cables, USB cables, IDE cables (free)
FireWire cables (15 bucks each)
80 Gig firewire drive (traded for a 48x CD burner, 100 CD-Rs, Old Antec Mid Case)
DVD drive (free)
CD-Burner (I have more of these than you can shake a stick at)

MDF (cheap to free)
Plexi (5 bones)

Anyway, I get a lot of free stuff from either vendors here at work, or conferences I attend. I also do some PC repair, upgrades, LANS, and what not. My clients end up giving me their old parts, PCs, etc to use for myself. Sometimes the parts are good enough I actually take them as a form of payment.

Any thoughts? Worth it for the price? Is it too much for a car?
