LOOK AT THIS SUBWOOFER!!!
Click 4 Sub
This is insane!!! 4,000 WATTS OF POWER!!!! I used to be sponsored by MTX (hence why I have all their stuff in my car), but since I left Thunderforce, I haven't been keeping up with their new line of equipment. I just saw this on Crutchfield and almost fell out of my chair. Even the sensitivity (92 db's) is pretty descent! I am making it my mission to try and find this sub so I can hear it! Any thoughts from you guys?????

HOALIE SCHITT!!
4.35" of excursion in a 15" cone? DAMN! That stupid speaker can displace over 7 cubic feet of air PER SECOND at 60hz! SHEEEITT! I need one of those and a terawatt amplifier, and I'll be happily deaf for a long time
Actually though, I still love the (isn't it Clarion?) 32" sub I saw about 8 months back while I was in Kans-ass visiting. It didn't HIT hard, but it literally shook the store. I'm not quite so much about hard hitting bass, but I LOOOVE that smooth rumble you get from a bigass fat speaker just kinda churning it all out.
Gimme 15hz and some icecream so I can make a shake baby!

They have been talking about that speaker for over a year and it's finally available. Sounds like APC with some Euro tail. The insane part is that it weighs 56LBS! The shipping alone on that speakers would pay for one from another brand. Maybe I'll buy me a tank to haul some around it. What the f*%# amp would you use to run it. HiFonics Colossus would be 1800W but thats still lacking alot. That is the most true power from any amp I can think of. Soundstream made a few big amps and so did Phoenix Gold but I'm not sure if they still do.

You could always buy one of the Dr. Crankenstein TUBE amps that are like $90,000! *ha ha ha* Those amps are insanely priced! It's funny too because when you look at the power ratings, they may only say like 70 or 80 watts of power. But that's TRUE power. I still wouldn't buy one for those prices though.
As far as that MTX sub, yeah, it would take quite of bit power to make it rumble, but at the same time, since the sensitivity is pretty good (better than most 15's), a decent powered amp should still make it thunder! Right or wrong??

Yeah, that speaker is good for about 12Hz. The MTX is still not available. If you call Crutchfield they do not have them. I talked to friend here and he said the MTX rep was in the other day and he hasn't even see it except in pictures. I did find out some amps to use though... Soundstream Tarantula is 2000W CONTINUOUS power. The new Rockford amps can be linked for more power. The BD1000 is about 1200W and can be linked to another to make 2400W and so on.

I'll never forget the first time I saw a Soundstream Tarantula amp. It was at a lowrider show down in Orlando 2 summers ago. First off, those amps are very expensive, and the the other thing is how crazy it is that it can handle loads all the way down to a half an ohm! rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif Ahhh..what I would do with a million dollars!
Has anyone ever seen the Soundstream DaVinci? I heard that's a pretty tasty amp too.
