I added a bigger amp for my 2 12's and I noticed my lights dim when it hits a big bass drop. Ive heard of people adding capacitors and that helps. I was thinking about adding a bigger alternator but cant find anything online. Anyone know where I can get one or does anyone know if a capacitor will stop the lights 100% from doing what they're doing?
wont stop the lights even with a cap
i had a 2 farad cap and they still did that
what helped the most is when i added a few extra ground points to the motor (cheapest way is to get a ebay grounding kit dont get anything special like the circle earth stuff from hks, its not worth it)
a beta 2 alternator supposedly is 10 amps stronger and bolts on but i havent had the chance to test that out yet

A higher amp alternator won't help at idle.
Upgrading the power (alternator to battery) and grounds helps a lot. A capacitor can help also, but only if you're not producing way less current than the amp is trying to push.
