Default installing head unit...need some help

i'm going to be installing a head unit this weekend (if it doesn't snow again...grrrr) and i need to know how to get the stock unit out...once i get that out, i'm good to go..i just don't want to break anything taking it out the wrong way. i'm guessing that i have to unscrew the screws along the side of the console, but anything else i need to do?

Khara..it's pretty easy. Click Here Just follow the first few steps on the first page. Once you take off the radio surround, you will see where the screws are that hold the head unit in place. The rest is pretty simple. Good luck... wink

Once u finish unscrewing the two screws on the side remove the panel around your shift knob... after that all u need is a lil muscle to pull the panel where ur head unit is out! Pull toward you and dont be afraid of breaking anything there are only some metal clips holding everything in place!...its real easy!

ps- yes i agree i never remember it snowing this much around here! its beginning to get to me! rolleyes.gif hows the ixion kit holding up?
