does anyone have a tut for taking the dash apart, the last time i did it i had a hell of a time with that stupid heater clip thing, and i couldn't get the entire thing off anyway, just enough to get at what i was doing..

The toughest part is the heater thingie beside your gas pedal. Look for it and you'll find it. As for the rest, it's just a bunch of screws and knowing how to put the power connections back together. (clock, heat/a/c controls)

Oh shit, nice one. I keep forgeting that! Yes, disconnect the battery before you take apart your dash. Otherwise you will have to pay $50 to get the Air Bag code cleared.

when i bought the car the airbag light was on, it was a clean title and the guy told me no accidents..but there was an aftermarket alarm installed, so i am thinking that my airbag is really not out and whoever installed the alarm just didn't disconnect the battery when they did it. is there a way to check if the airbag is actually out (besides hitting something ;-)) or if it is just because of that?

It's prolly cause of the not disconnecting the battery thing. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Wasn't there talk about our airbag systems being pretty bad anyway???
