Default Re: Someone Help Me Find THIS Rear!!!!

okay, i have already taken off the dash and put the faces in and put the cluster back in (i left the clear cover off in-case i need to adjust somethings)
but the problem now is, none of my needles move.
when the car is on i stick the tach needle at about 800, then rev the engine and it doesn't move..i stick the speedo at 0 when the car is on and go for a little ride around the block and it doesn't move either.
for the gas needle i will just fill my tank and then set it a little more than F, and i have no clue about how to set the water temp needle
also, the odometer is not working, either is the trip odometer.
help plzzzz!

ok here is what i did:

installed the cluster but leave the clear piece off, take off the needles, make sure your car is cold for the temp, when you have all the needles off turn the igniton on and install the temp needle on the cold end with the ignition in on but not started, once you have the temp needle on start the car, put the speedo needle on as close to the peg as possible and then install your tach needle where you usually idle at or turn the ignition back off and then back on but not started and install it at 0 rpm's, for the fuel unless you know exactly where you were at on gas i'd just say guess or go fill your car up all the way let it sit with it started for awhile so the guage will be at full then put the needle on the full mark.

if anybody else has any better ideas feel free to correct me.

Default looking for fuses

do you have to BARELY put the needles on?
the only way they work is if they are on SOO loose that u could tap them and they come off.
they are so far up that the little pegs that are on the speedo and tach don't stop the needles anymore..

naw man i put my needles on all the way. the hole where the needles mount might be too small, you might want to enlarge them just a little bit if that is the problem.

Yeah I put mine back in the way they were in the stock gauges without any problems.

wait, your odometer is not working, but your needles will move?

push the cluster all the way in, i think its look.

use thin double sided tape for the new faces, and stick them on to the stock ones.

got everything working, thanks.
you used double sided tape? i was told to use hot glue..it didn't work so good.
also, the gauges i bought either were not fitted properly, or were for an rd2. there were little circles where all the lights were supposed to be, and they didn't line up with my stock ones.
overall they look great, but i am sort of disappointed because i had to do some special cutting to make them fit right, and now for some reason i don't get as good of a glow on the fuel/temp gauge.
i also had to move the little peg on the speedo to a different hole.

edit: WTF kind of gauges do i have, i do NOT have little circles where every light should be, if i search ebay i see even 97-99 gauges have these circles...(and so do the 99-01s)
