Holy crap that's an awesome idea! The brain is storming.
It would be tough on an RD because the bet spot would be under the AC controls but that is a hard panel under console bezel. One could remotely mount the panel and use servos to manage the actual motion of the knob. I was just going to remote mount the knob panel and place the gauges in the knob holes, but this is a hell of a lot cooler and low profile. But that's a lot of work, and most RD owners wouldn't be up to that much effort. Can't speak for GC, GK, etc.
