In my old Accent, I added 4.5Kg of Polyguard... A spray on polyurethane coating with rubber flakes about 4mm thick just to my hatch. Thing is so heavy to get up and down but I gained 4DB from doing it. Another good stuff to use is DYNAPLATE or DYNAMAT.

Cheers Ryan

You have to use sound absorbing material...not duct tape! tongue.gif

Just kidding...you should definitely hear a difference with all that. Are you doing it just for road noise, or for better stereo sound?

i have edead and upholstery grade foam in my car..
it's very quiet when i'm in the car..i can't hear wind or other nearby sounds..
it definitely helps the bass and roada noise, add some on the hood and it'll be quiet as a lexus..unless you have a intake

it also helps dampen the sounds of road debree being kicked up on your fenderwells, like pebble's and sticks.
