Default How would a sub box like this sound in a tib?

Saw this pic randomly online and was wondering how it would sound in a tib? The bass would bounce off the back seats I think, so I'm wondering if the sound would get absorbed or not.

That looks so CHEAP, lol I got a Solobaric 15 in a box built for my RD1 so it is perfect fit, but it works best with a rear seat delete, ill post pics later, You can run it backs seats also, just not my preference!

With a modern sub, sealed, in a small car, all you need is 1/2 a cubic foot which that surely has.

The bass doesn't bounce off the seat. At sub-bass frequencies it compresses the air in the entire cabin. If it were a mid or tweeter it'd be a different story.

Sound waves get absorbed by soft materials like seats. I don't think it would sound any better than one mounted in the trunk with the rear seats down.

Extra fun bonus points for rear seat passengers poking holes in the surround and dust cap because people just can't leave stuff alone.

Yeah. That's one of those things where i'd get in the back for something a couple days later and realize someone has drawn a cock in permanent marker on my sub........
