Default How long did your new car smell last?

My car is a 2011 and it still has the new car smell. It's faded some over the past couple of years, but it's still definitely prominent as if it just rolled off the dealership show room floor. I hope it lasts for another 1-2 years because I love it.

I've had a few people tell me my 2008 smells brand new inside. I never use any air fresheners only thing I use that smells is Meguires Natural Shine on the interior every 4-5 months. Wipe it down with microfiber when it gets dusty in between those months.

A few coworkers Leased new Jettas this year, the first thing they did was put those Black Ice air fresheners in them

My 2010 Genesis still has the new car smell but it only gets driven in the summer. So 5 months out of the year, it's in the garage with the windows up and out of the elements which can cause that smell to go away much quicker.

The "new car smell" is actually the smell of toxic chemicals off-gassing from interior auto parts such as the seating, dashboards and vehicle trim ,so quicker the better............

I personally don't like the smell of a new car. Glad it lasted a couple of months only.

^ Really? I love the smell. Makes me think of fresh and new. Not old and broke.
