I've got the cigarete lighter thingy taken out. I want to take it out of my car to work on it inside. But there are the wires that are still connected. Anyways it looks like there is some clip in the wire a couple inches from the cigarette lighter. It is covered with protective foamy stuff. I can't figure out how to disconnect it. Any suggestions. I know someone will just say pull, but i already tried that. Is there like a clip that i have to hold up or something while i pull.
Uhm,... just push on the clip and then pull!

It come off pretty easily,... I've take the dash off more often than I wanna admit.

KayJai has it right. If you cannot get the wire clip disconnected, you can peel some of the foamy stuff off till you can get them disconnected, or simply remove the wires from the ashtray console itself. There are 2 bulbs and 1 connection for the Ligher itself.
