How to choose a good radar detector
There are so many detectors out on the market from the cheap $40 ones to the super expensive Valentine 1 ones. I’m not looking to break the bank on a V1 but I do want something that will at least give me decent notice if a cop is sitting somewhere hiding and shooting radar. I also know that no detector is 100% perfect when you’re speeding. But is there certain things I should look for when choosing one? 360 monitoring? Certain types of radar or laser? VG2? Thanks.

I just recently got a ticket for 12 over on the highway... $395. I bought a V1 2 weeks ago... $395. If the V1 keeps me from getting one ticket, it was worth it.
Doesn't matter. They can all be used with extreme efficiency...put it between the floor and the pedal.
I use a Cobra something or other that was $300 something a couple years ago. Got it half off on Black Friday. I've gotten warnings up to a mile away. Once, I think was almost two miles.

I've had a V1 for years. Sent it in to get updated and it's about half what a new one is and check your serial number online to see if there is an update. The remote display is nice too as you can put it somewhere what isn't noticeable from behind.

..stupid me!!
