Hallo there!
I have a relatively old kenwood panel (model 2020 ? which can control a changer, so I believe...)
and a relatively new mp3 player.
The only outlets on the mp are mic and line-out.
The only inlet left on the back of the panel is a circle with many dots in it (coaxial ? )
how do I get to hear all my nice downloaded songs through the car audio?
is this what I'm looking for? :

Thanks,
Sasha.

i dont think those will work man. that plug might fit in the changer plug on your headunit, but there is a chance the pins will be configured differently inside the headunit. unless you are able to find a specific kenwood adapter, i wouldnt chance it.
if your headunit has an aux input, you can use that. guessing it does not though, a lot of older ones dont.

your just gonna have to burn it to cd like all the common folk do.
or buy a new deck or get a better mp3 player that will broadcast it through your fm radio.

you could get a fm modulator. its this thing you put inline with the antenna, and when you tune your radio to a certain(unused) frequency, it will act as a line in.

I think you were on the right track. This should be what you need:

It'll plug up where a cd changer would, and you should run it from the line out and adjust the signal input on the receiver. And FYI, most companies offer something similar; you just usually can't use one with XM or a changer, because you only have one port.
