hey guys,

i have 01 Tib w/ 5-speed manual..

recently, i've noticed that when i stepped on the clutch, it gets stuck on something..i thought that was my floor mat, but it turned out that there's a hole in the carpet!

so i brought it in to the dealer, and they said they couldn't do anything, no adjusting since the clutch is "hydraulic", and can't do anything about the carpet either...

so now, i just try not to press the clutch too far by sitting far behind, but it gets annoying quiet often.

when i apply full force on the clutch, it goes ALL the way into the carpet, into the hole, and gets stuck!!!

anyone had this experience??? any suggestions??? any solutions???

i'll try to post some pics

well if you imagine the clutch going in too far, so when you push it in all the way, it pushes in the carpet....

how odd... now I have to go and look. I am used to my fiat which has a stop "button" at the bottom of the pedal's travel.. same with the gas... just to keep from wearing a hole in things...

As for pressing the clutch all the way in.. the only time I do that is when first starting the car.. until I finally get around to unhooking the "safety" switch that will only allow you to start the car with the clutch in.
