I found a nice HO Alt 170a that bolts up to the stock location and wiring but they want $700.

Has anyone found another HO Alt?

I asked two of the shops in town. As soon as I told them it was a Hyundai they said they couldnt help me.

Not sure what to do. Right now im not running my ac but when I get the compressor fixed and want to run the ac, I know I wont have enough for the car, the system, the airbags, etc.

airbag, ABS, ECU takes very small amount of power.

Why do you need HO alt? because of the sound system?
How much ampere do you need? Maybe 170 is too much?

What about alternator from another cars? Can it be attached?

Don't know why the new ones wouldn't be compatible.

Call up those shops again and tell them you have a honda. Then bring in your Alternator.

Bastards.

Tigerlilly 160 Amp Alternator, $350

Kspec.com MIGHT be able to get it too if you post in our forums I'll check.

Email them and see how much to rewind yours, I'd REALLY like to know. Their prices listed are GOOD.

Whew, we have a LOT of alternator threads.
