I found a nice HO Alt 170a that bolts up to the stock location and wiring but they want $700.
Has anyone found another HO Alt? |
take it to any good alternator shop they can overhaul it and make it have a higher output
|
I asked two of the shops in town. As soon as I told them it was a Hyundai they said they couldnt help me.
Not sure what to do. Right now im not running my ac but when I get the compressor fixed and want to run the ac, I know I wont have enough for the car, the system, the airbags, etc. |
airbag, ABS, ECU takes very small amount of power.
Why do you need HO alt? because of the sound system? How much ampere do you need? Maybe 170 is too much? What about alternator from another cars? Can it be attached? |
airbag suspension. compressor rated about 40a. im running 3 amps. 800w/400w/300w then the stock car is rated at what 90a?
|
yeah stock one is 90 A
|
i heard that the 05 elanta/tib comes with a higher rated alt
donno if there compatible though |
Don't know why the new ones wouldn't be compatible.
Call up those shops again and tell them you have a honda. Then bring in your Alternator.
