Default HELP! Show guys.. help!

IMO, huge potential to look awesome and be functional.. im more worried about the function of it. To be able to play with the settings etc. However... what in the hell could I use to block the dead space and it not look like sh*t. Yes I know I will not be able to use the vents.. a roll of duct tape will fix that. I run with the windows down most of the time anyway, ha.

BTW yes I can secure it where it is. One screw from the stock vents has it now and some shims/washers will hold it on the other corners.

another note... the wires will of course go behind it, I was just seeing how it looking sitting in there like that.

Best thing to do is get a blank stereo or gauge panel, cut the shape of the window switch out, and mount it behind the dash so it looks stock.

I've had great luck buying ABS sheets.

Good call on the ABS. Cut it, fit it and maybe paint the whole dash fasia so it matches.

Most the ABS sheets have a flat glossy side and a textured side. The textured side matches a dash nicely. It's easy to heat and bend, etc. also.

i would create a clay mold from a measured cutout. then fiberglass jelly. some sawing and sanding. you can create some metal clips that would hold it in place. this is how i did my whole gps surround.

not going for full on show, but I also didn't want it looking like complete crap. Ill get some ABS and see what I can do. The cardboard stuff isn't a bad idea. As far as painting, I might do that. Suggestions for paint that wont get destroyed by southeast texas heat?

I was thinking about putting it in the glove box, but eh. I noticed it could fit in there with a little work.
