Your RCA's could be bad. If you got a portable Mini disc or CD walkman with the headphone to RCA connector, plug that into the AMP and see if you get sound out of your subs. You'll have to have your stereo on so the remote will turn on your amp. If your amp and subs produce sound, then its either your RCA cables or your HU. OR>........your sub may be blown or not hooked up/hooked up incorrectly. Triple check all your connections. Good Luck man! fing02.gif

My RCA's are hooked up right and I dont think I have that option. Its the pioneer 3700 hu. What causes RCA's to go bad? I also connected a diff sub i have sitting around to the amp and nothing so its not the sub itself.

i am familiar with most pioneer decks. go into the audio feature, keep selecting the different audio options and look for the sub feature. there should be a option for you to turn it on there. and ive had a few rca's go bad on me.

The only sub feature or has to do with bass I know of is the SLA. Its a mono amp, cross-over is already on low pass.

sla= source level adjustment. this adjustes the volume between cd changers, or other add on units. kinda like a volume fader for add on changers and such. sla wont do it.

the pre-amp outputs (rca's) on the back of the deck are working? how about checking the fader setting on the deck?

Dude, do you have the gain up on your amp???? Its something that can easily be overlooked!!! I did this once. If thats the case, definatley follow 2loud2k2xd's advice.

RCA's can be bad right from the factory! I've done quite a few amp installs, and I alone have had 2 brand new amp kits that had bad RCA's. I finally just started buying the individual wires. It took more time, but I could return them if I needed to. RCA's can also be damaged during installation if you kink them to much. the little wires inside CAN break and short. Also the connectors themselves can be damaged from being to rough when you are pulling them undercarpet or jamming them through a crack when you are running them from the deck to the trunk.

^^^^^HAHAHAHA Damn, I just posted this when I saw your last post. Thats funny! Been there Done that! Glad you got it workin!!
