Head Units
Will this cd player fit in my 2001 Tiburon? I have the double din cd player with the cassette player in it but i want to get something different. Will any of these fit?

it looks like it's a double din, but alot of manufacturers are going single din with a pop out face. Regardless of anything, you can make it fit. You should be able to order it and buy a $20 kit from the local sterio shop and get a radio surround that will fit the car.
edit: single din. you will be able to get a kit from a local shop. but it looks like it will cover the heater cluster when popped out. It's ok, they usually fold back in when you turn your car off.

As previously stated, both of those headunits will fit. They are each single-din though. In my experience, I was not able to just go to a shop and buy a kit. The company that both of these large retail stores who do professional installs buy from did not make kits for my 98 RD1, I don't know about your RD2. I have seen ONE non-OEM version on eBay. I was told I would have to find a junkyard with a Tib that had the single-din factory radio, and buy the whole fascia. I put in an older model Pioneer tv screen, something like the eBay unit. I now have another radio underneath because the screen has to come all the way out before it folds up, and it would not clear my automatic shifter- so that's something you need to watch out for. Also, just be cautioned, if you do opt for a dvd player, know that there is a brain box or control unit that is the central location for all wiring that you will have to hide under your seat or in your hatch. You have to take your seat out and run a lot of wires under the carpet up through the dash. My brain box actually does not clear the seat and scrapes everytime the passenger seat gets moved. Basically, if you go for something with a screen of any sort, have it professionally installed. But oh yea, if you don't buy it from the shop that installs it, it'll probably cost you big $$, and also they will wire it "legally", where you can't have the display showing anything unless your parking brake is on.

If you find some online "pin outs" for your deck, i could tell you exactally how to wire it "legally".
Chainu127: how big of a brain box? Couldn't you hide it under the sterio, or under the center console arm rest? my friend dosn't have all that in his vehical, just a small breakout on the back of the unit.
