do you guys know of a good battery that will fit in the first gen battery tray???
my battery is pretty much crap now and i need a new one urgently.
what do you guys recommend???
im running 2 1000 watt amps, pre amp, and a whole lot of lights, underglow, tubes, ect,...

 

I got myself an Optima gel cel color top battery. They are pricy $140 but they have many benifits. One they look cool (no a benifit but oh well they come in blue, red and yellow) they have a 5 year warranty, And the best of all they are a gel cel the benifit of that is when a regular battery (like say the stock one) dies when you go to recharge it it only recharges to 80% of it's operating capatity and takes hours to charge up with a gel cel when they die and you recharge them they charge back to 97% of it's original capatity and only take minutes to seconds to recharge all you have to do is touch the terminals with power and boom recharged almost the same as a cap for a sterio system and the cold and warm cranking amps surpases any conventional battery out there. Hope that helps and sorry for the long run on sentence but it's Saturday and didn't feel like correct in my grammer.

 

Yeah..I have an Optimus Red Top, and you can't go wrong with it. But..if it's too pricey for you...then go with a Die Hard. The Gold and Silver Series are the best ones. They'll run you about $70 total from an Sears. Cheaper if you have hook ups! wink.gif

 

anyone know where you can pick up one of those Gel Cell batteries? Websites? I don't think Pep Boys has them, right?

 

I got mine from A&A autoparts store but I'm sure any autoparts store can or could get them. But mostly like I said they are sold at autoparts stores.

 

Anybody have experience with the dry-cell DynaBatt?
