so i went to the junkyard today cause my buddy wanted to go and froze my @ss off. guess what i got a set of gk temp dials. i'm looking to put them on when i get my car back. yeah, i got them for free!!!! waiting til summer to get the spindles and stuff for a 5 lug conversion.

 

nice dood, ive only seen one GK in a yard so far, and it was untouched, but it had a nasty rollover. i was gonna grab the seats, but the drivers headrest was bent up real bad from the roof squishing it.

 

The dials won't work right.

I tried them years ago.

The center portions WILL sit on the RD Shaft, but the indicator light won't be lined up right. Like you'll have your knob on full HOT, and it'll be pointing directly down.

Also, the little rings that come with them, do not have any place to sit at all, so you really can't use them.

ive looked at them also, just the rings though, and was trying to find a place i could use them. just cause they do look hella sexy.

 

Yeah.

I had a set of the metal ones, and you'd have to superglue the rings to the AC setup. They just don't look right.

Sucks.

Maybe I can get us some new ones made....

 

this gk had a roll over too. i hooked a buddy up with the rims for $140, rims were in good condtion still.

 

xxx do the GK seats actually bolt right up to the RDs? sorry for the thread hack\


O/T, lilo I havent seen a GK in the junkyard around me so thats cool you got to get into one's parts for free!

 

lilo was it a manual, 5 speed? i want a shift knob.

 

that's the first thing i went to look for and it was gone!!! 02.gif planning to go get more parts from it.
