Mold it into a double din and find somewhere else for your stereo to go.

I can see Tibby01 comming in here pitching a CarPC to you now lmao.gif . Nothing against T01, but not everyone enjoys Bill Gates having his hand in everything.

Just Throwing some ideas out here. Aside from the standard mounting it to the side of the dash as in the picture you provided, here's some Ideas which would take some time and resources, but the time would pay off.

I'd say remove the driver's air bag and mount it in the steering wheel, for the cleanest look. I saw that done with a LCD from a member here.

Cut out the area in front of your shifter including your ashtray and cup holder, maybe part of the shifter if needed and mount it at an angle.

It might be possible to mount it in the visor somehow.

Cut your vents out and mold it into the top of the dash.

It could look pretty good if you molded the dash all the way across(mirror image) and mounted it to the passenger side.

With a bit of time, effort, some bondo-glass, sandpaper, primer, paint, epoxy, and alot of patience, each of these Ideas could look really good.

If you want this surround, I'm redoing it with a 7" screen and I got a new surround from Kspec. Just cut the 5.6" screen out (has lines running through it, its toast)and remold it with yours. Its a pretty amatuer job that was done orginally, but I'm sure if you take the time to clean it up and repaint it you'll be ok.

ditch the profec idea, build a carpc, sell the emanage, pick up a megasquirt, sell your headunit, break even and have WAY more capability and cool factor.

maybe i am bill gates? shhh.gif

rix, we may have something i would like to try here.. smile.gif

tibby01.. lol.. i dont need a computer in my car.. the emanage does alot more, and will be able to handle whatever tuning i need it to do, and its REALLY easy to tune.. i dont need the headache of setting up the megasquirt.

dtn, i dont have an airbag.. i got an aftermarket steering wheel, and that idea is a lil too 'im ludacris yO' for me lol.

i thought about putting the screen where the vents are, but then i would have no good heat essentially.

i was thinking maybe put it in the area where the sunglasses thing is, and remolding that whole area, so when it flipped down it would be angled towards me.

Good idea socks, with the Sunglasses spot.

Also you can Try to mount it in a sunvisor. Another member on here has screens in his visor for his PS2, I bet you could easily have something like that done.

....Or just buy RixShark's dash and have it already done for you lol. smile.gif

thing is, it wouldnt work in the visor, i dont think anyway, i think its a lil heavy, and its alot thicker than an LCD screen.
