Hey just wondering if it's a problem to run all 3 of my gauges off the same wire(s)?

I don't think it would cause a problem but just thought I would ask before I go ahead and do it. I have the Splitfire Gauges that light up. find 12V power is not an issue, but just thought I might run into problems with runing them all from the same wire(s)

Thanks guys.

add up the current draw of each gauge, then you need to know the total current draw of the circuit you are connecting it to. if its more than the fuse thats on that circuit, then you cant use it.

the easy way of testing whether or not it will work is to hook up everything. if the fuse pops, than no. tongue.gif

you're better off wiring them all together, fusing the one wire, and then going to the battery.

Cool, most of the setup I can handle, but it's the damn circuits and shizz that get in my way every time. 02.gif

Thanks tibby01.

np man.

if it does end up blowing the fuse, connect all the power wires and get an inline fuse holder, like this...
http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/cate...HP-2&type=store

add up the current draw of each of the gauges. it should be in amperes(A), and can be found somewhere on the packaging hopefully. then just get a fuse for that holder that is the next step up from the total current.
