I want to put some holes under my back seat for mounting a small remote bass control. I'm wondering how much clearance there is between the floorboard and the gas tank right below the rear seat cussion in the center. Anyone help?

 

well thats how you get at the fuel pump which sits in the tank. i dont think there is a lot of clearance but i would assume you could use some short screws there. id wait for other opinions though

 

^^^exactly what i would have said. its about a inch maybe at the opening for the fuel pump, but im not sure if it stays that way across the whole surface for the back seat.

 

Right now I've got some really short bolts securing it to the carpet. It works, but I'd like something that is more perminant. I guess I'll have to rip out or at least pop the back seat up and check under there for clearance.
