Fun With Led's

So I got bored the other day and decided to try a few ideas out! A while back I had some neon tubes down in the door map areas until they went bad. I dont know why I saved them, but I am glad I did! I pulled the neon tube out of the plastic holder and put a blue LED on each side. I then got some inkjet transparencies and made a good template for what I wanted to light up. Then I just cut it out, glued it on the tube, and wired up the LED's. What do you think?
Here is what it looks like from outside the car.
I am not sure if other 99 Tibs have glove box lights or not, but mine doesn't. So I also put an LED cluster in there. They come on when I turn on my lights. Not noticable when the glove box is closed and it is very convienient.
Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think. smile.gif

Thanks for the comments guys. REDZ, yeah, if we have time at the meet, I'll help you out. All you need to do is tap into your parking lights and run the power to the LED. The LED's draw nearly no power so you shouldn't need a relay for it. I have a relay on mine, but thats becasue I am running a few lights off that parking light. Anyways, I'll bring one of the LED clusters down for you at the meet. smile.gif

did you print that sheet out on the printer? i messed around with transparencies a little, but with mine, light would bleed through any colors, even black.
you may want to glue some aluminum foil onto the back-inside part of the tub to help a little more light get to the middle.
overall, great idea, and it looks wicked. fing02.gif hail.gif
