Okay guys -- I've searched the forums for a while now looking for an answer to this and I'm unable to come up with a clear solid answer. Here we go: What size speakers will work for the front? From what I can tell, everybody is aiming towards 6-3/4. Does anybody know if 6x8 will work? Anybody here that can help me out a little bit?

 

6x8 in the front isn't going to work lol...I used 6.5"s in front, but that took some fidgeting to get it perfect, I would go for the 6-3/4"s

 

LOL... Okay, thanks. 6.75 is a weird size, not too many out there. I'm kinda scared of 6.5 though.

 

Yea, the 6.5's will fit, but like I said...it took some maneuvering haha

 

You don't happen to have a pic or anything do you? Were you able to fit the grille back over the speakers?....

 

Yea well...about the grill...it would fit...if I didn't FVCK them both up haha, I'll go take pics right now for you and be back in like 5 minutes...

 

Sweet, I just wanted to see how it looks without the grille wink1.gif So yeah, my car is red... I'm wanting to get sony speakers just because they are red and silver (I know, I'm stupid). I want to get the 6 1/2's, but if it's going to look like crap without the grille, then it's pointless. I just think these would look freaking awesome with our car interior being silver and my car being red.

 

Well if all you wanna see is the speaker without the grill, here it is...pretty crappy lookin haha

hahahaha yea...I have to get some spare time so I can do what I wanted to up there which was to figure out a way to get the grills that came with the speakers to look normal on the door panel, but the holes don't match up, so now it's ghetto style no grill until I get a day free...
