Well....all of you probably have went through the same problem as i have...The CENTER CONSOLE BREAKING! yea..it sucks

Well...instead of going and buying a whoel new lid and all that crap...
I went to my local hardware store and bought a pack that consisted of two small hinges...I cut out an area to place the hinges, connected the hinge to the center console and to the lid...and it works like new!

price of project = $2.15

Ill post pictures later...

LOL you know what, that is prolly going to be a very popular DIY. I stepped on my lid and broke the friggin' clip thingie on the front so it won't help me anymore. mad.gif but definitely post that thing up.

Actually, I'm surprised there hasn't been one. confused.gif

LMAO.. so did I! I was messing around in the backseat after my system popped a fuse.. and I lifted the center console to get my fuze out... then climbed over it into the back and then SNAP. MOTHER !@#$% lol. I was pretty angry.

You guys STEPPED on the center console cover? Now that sounds like something I would do. fing02.gif I remember bending the passenger side headrest forward in a friend's car. Umm, I'm not going to get into how that was done. Lets just say I wasn't the only one in the backseat. cool.gif

c_dawg_ I thought that only the rd1's had that hinge lid thingy. mine definently doesn't have it so i figured no rd2's had it.
