Re: LOL...........this was a conversation i had
My next TARGET: 52mm Gauges.
Here is the question: What kind of gauges do you like more between EL (Analogic) or Standar/Plain but Digital ?
I was looking for a dual o triple pillar pod for the left mounting and they asked near 90/100€ for the job, melted perfectly and painted. 15€ od difference for the triple pod but 3 gauge along the mounting imho they too much invasive in space.. two is not so aggressive to see...
Then i should choose between some kind of gauges
the price is nearly 50€ each one (all mechanicals, not electrics) but if i chose the EL ones (reeeallly nice those ones when ON!!) guessing this combination: [Volmeter] + [Oil Temp] + [Something else]
they light up in a nice blue like this
but new gauges are arriving and they are built with 3 7-segment display.
choosing between red or blu digit light. like this
digital digit are not so much nice/race-looking, and a little hard to read instead of the classic ones with the needle.. (maybe it is only a matter of opinions)
which one would you choose? (ah, in case of the digital gauge, the digit are with blu light)
by now, i think i will go on with a double/triple pillar pod...

Re: FS - 00-01 euro tails
In italy there is a manufacturer called "Bottari" http://www.bottari.it
in their section called "R.Evolution"... they are not famous as "MOMO" of course, but their goods are made with good quality too, with a more reasonable price...
They are preparing a lot of new nice gauges...
By now, they have some EL gauge, and the Digital ones should arrive in not later than this december... they told me that for the digital ones, you can choose between black background with RED digit, or white bkg with blu digit.
by now, for saving time, i think i will let build the triple pillard pod.. then i will put the gauge once they arrived all...
**edit** the pix i used here are not made by them, it was only used for example.. and remeber, Europe works with °C and not in °F, km/h and not in miles, bar and not psi for the pressure ... as soon as i get them i'll post some pictures wink1.gif

Re: CAI in the winter
AAAHhh i'm hoping to retrieve mi triple pillar mount finished this thursday.
I decided to put in the pillar this 3 EL Gauges
[Volmeter] + [Oil Temp. in °C] + [Oil Pressure in Bar]
..should looks like this, but black painted
then, next it will be:
2 Digital gauge horiz. mounted over the central air intake
1st on the left 4 digit RPM gauge, the other in the right the air/fuel gauge
then, at last, a tested handmade RPM gauge made with 21 leds..
i think i'll try to put them around the digital RPM gauge...
^^ this is only a sampe of the work..
then.. STOP talking about gauges laugh.gif
ASAP i will put my pix here..
*edit* tell me what do you think about this work, plz!
