they work if you get a little f***in' crafty man.
i've got them in my car, and i actually had to cut my old ones up and line them up myself.... but they look really good! it's well worth the work, and besides.... that's the whole point in being a TUNER man! doing it yourself, and making it a custom job!
if you look at Tibby01's gauges (I think it's him....), he did his with all blue LEDs and blue needles, and his shish came out NICE! his didn't line up perfect either, just like mine.... you just have to make it work.
it's all about if you wanna' put in the extra effort.
if you dont' feel like doing it, and just wanna' go the easy way - yeah, go with kspec. all of their products are awesome. those ones shitracing (sharkracing) makes look good, but good luck gettin' anything from those bastards without serious effort.
there's my $.02.

Ehh, you won't know for sure with that set if they will fit unless you get them.
The BOMZ ones fit the 2nd gens, even though they say 99-01.

bomz gauges are nice. i like 'em. the guy who sells 'em doesn't have them in an auction right now. his auction name is tlp_racing. maybe email him and ask when they'll be back up

i ordered my brois gauges a week ago... cant wait.
changing your gauges are quite a bit of tedious PITA work, whether they fit right or not.
...and thats my 2cents.

Ehh, it's much easier than I thought it would be. Not that hard, especially after you've taken the dash off once.
