Yeah, what you need to do is have the needles gently resting at a ZERO reading, so just a BIT of pressure is pushing them against their blocks.

Then start your car. When it gets up to normal running temp, install your Temp Needle pointing at the very center of the gauge. Do NOT PUSH HARD.

Install your RPM needle just under 1000 RPM, should be between 800 and 900, do this with the car running for at least a minute so the high idle goes away. Do NOT PUSH HARD.

Get a friend, get on the freeway in a DESERTED area and get him to set his cruise on his car next to you at 60. Set your cruise to match his speed then install the needle or have someone else do it for you pointing at 60MPH. Do NOT PUSH HARD.

For the Gas, keep the plastic clear gauge cover off until you've had your needles on for at least 3 weeks to a month. When the LOW GAS LIGHT comes on, install your needle pointing in the middle of the RED section, or right at the beginning of it. You have 30 Miles left when you get that light. Drive slow. LOL Do NOT PUSH HARD.
