I'm looking to do some sound deadening, but I'm not real into having a big fancy system or anything, I just want to hear a little less road noise. Ha anyone used any products other than dynamat? Is actual dynamat worth it or would I just be paying for a brand?
paying for a name
go on ebay and purchase fatmat. remember tibby01 and my interiors are completely covered and i am pretty sure we used the same company.
p.s. using a heat gun and the supplied roller will save your fingers.

Thanks, it didn't seem like there should really be a difference, but I didnt want to be paying less for tinfoil with the "knock-off" stuff either. Fatmat is the one that I was looking at, has anyone done a decent writeup" I searched but couldn't find one. If not I'll have to take some pictures while Im doing mine.
i sorta did in my build thread but never did a DIY on it cause it is pretty straight forward man. clean the surface, apply, press down tightly.
i went one step furthur and before i stuck a piece i heated it for a bit before i stuck it down but that was because i did mine in the winter with cold surfaces to adhere to.

Get some spray-on rubberized undercoating from the auto parts store. Clean the underside of your car, let it dry, put a THICK coating in each wheelwell, spray the bottom of the car also. For the cost of a couple sheets of dynamat, makes a huge difference in road noise.
