Ok.. im still on a mission to look for subs..

How much of an improvement is gained from dual voice coils?

Im looking for some nice 12's in the 600-800watt area that wont cost me more than about 100 each.

Just wondering whats peoples opinion on it..

The benefit to DVC subs is their flexibility. If you have a DVC with 4 ohm coils, you can wire them for a total impeadance of 2 or 8 ohms. If you wire 2 DVC's like this tohether, then you can have 1, 4, or 16 ohms depending on how you wire them.

The lower the impeadance, the more current the sub(s) will demmand, and the more accoustical output you'll have.

i would spend the extra money on the solos. A friend of mine has those and they sound good no distortion and hit really hard. With the right tuning and everything they are great subs!
