Okay, the door lock actuator on my drivers side has gone out again. This is 2 times in a year now that I need to get another one. Any suggestions on where I can get one that will last awhile? This one will still UNLOCK, but when you try to lock with it it grinds horribly and doesn't lock.

It's this type in there.

Thanks guys and gals.

Get a branded one like DEI.

Tibby01, did you wire your alarm to the stock driver's side door lock actuator? I seem to remember something about that. But I tested leads and didn't see a way to do it when I installed my alarm.

hmmmm... I think I have my old door actuators around somewhere.. Let me think.

Since I have no use for door locks (lol) I think I threw them somewhere... along with the rest of the junk I took off my car. But I'm pretty sure it's up at my paren't place. >_

both of my actuators went out. i'd just go to the dealer because it seems to be such a common problem. i don't know why they go out.

i need to get keyless entry as well... it would at least help not to wear out the actuators by physically forcing the lock.

Ehh, I asked the dealer some time ago, they said there is no OEM version of those and they don't have anything they can do for me.

So any other suggestions?
