ok i bought my car last august, so that's about 7 months that i've had the car since i got it.

and i jusT NOW NOTICED THIS!!

LEFT DOOR:

RIGHT DOOR:

if you look closely, the left side is black with textured surface, the right side is onyx with smooth surface

LOL, i was surprised with that and ever since i noticed the differences between them, it's been buggin me! has anybody ever got something like this in your car!?!?

Yeah I know, its a big PITA when you go to paint it too, have to do extra prep work to get it smooth and primed.

on one hand, i'm starting to think now that one side probably came from a different tib, my dealer told me that this car was in a "roll over" accident before they got it, and had to exchange some few things to the car. having just remembered that, one side is probably from another tib (most likely left side, cuz the right side is the same as the dashboard)

hmmm.....

No no, it's stock. All tiburons came with it like that as far as I know. (expect maybe the Canadian spec ones with the bronze dashes). All three of my tibs had the same thing. Its because the drivers side is supposed to "flow" from the plastic dash surrounding the gauges and radio, and the passenger's side is supposed to "flow" from the vinyl dash above the passengers airbag to the door panel.

it's supposed to be like that. Adds to the "cockpit" feel. From the door, to dash, to shifter surround. The back/top of dash, passenger side, and passenger door all flow together

Edit: yeah, what Liz said ^^
