Basically, I went to Home Depot, found a giant sheet of diffuser plastic (The kinda stuff that would normally cover those long tube flourescent lights), dremeled it to shape, and used a bunch of light LIGHT coats of some auto paint. And I took out the clear bulb and put in a blue bulb.. the clear one made the plastic look greenish.

It's kind of a rice fix.. but oh well, I think it looks good. Thanks for the props

That Rocks!

Was it hard to get the new piece of plastic to fit?
Haven't taken that part of the door apart before, how does that OEM red piece clip on?

Julez - tongue.gif Neener neener!!

KayJai - All you have to do is pry the light out of the door, you don't have to take the door apart, and the stock red one clips onto a grey plastic housing. Right now I'm trying to find a good way to mount it (Ideas from anyone are welcome!!) As it is in the pictures, I had the piece of plastic cut to the right size, so I was able to just stick it in the hole and it stays on its own (nothing is holding it in though... yet)

Big Lancer - You probably could do it with the dome light, but no reason to because the dome lights are already a clearish/white so all you have to do for domes is get a blue bulb, or you MIGHT be able to spray paint the dome light lens, not sure, never taken it off.

DESIGN - Thanks man! Once I figure out a way to mount in on there well, I might try and give some people hookups if they want. That's of course pending I find a good way to mount it. Currently I'm thinking I might be able to make the cutout a bit bigger, and heat the plastic up quite a bit and mold it to the grey plastic housing to it sits itself on there like the stock one.

Everyone - Thanks for all the props.. again, if anyone has any ideas how to mount these things on, please let me know.. on the boards, email, PM, whatever.. I'm open to all suggestions. Right now one of my ideas is to find two SMALL chrome headed bolts and put them through the blue plastic, and all the way through the plastic housing.. Then the lenses would be blue with two chromey/silvery spots on it.. I don't think that would look too bad. Another idea I had is finding some very little mirrors and putting them inside the housing to "project" the light and make it brighter smile.gif Thanks again!
