self-explanitory. I kno you have to take off some wire next to the pedals but i have no clue which one. Or would there be another way to take off that annoying door chime?? I searched this up but there was 1 post on which didnt explain how to take it off that well.

1) locate that thing that chimes (door chime)
2) disconnect harness that goes to chime
3) drink beer

thats not it.

the chimes are in the very middle of the dash. there are two. one for the doors, and another for the headlights.

if you take off the dash facia, there is one slightly to the right of the center, and one slightly to the left. one is in a blue plastic case, the other is just in a metal case.

i havent looked at the schematics in forever, but i think one needs to remain connected to have other things function correctly.

you dont have to go under the dash or anything to make the chime stop.. there is a harness below the drivers seat, and then there it that lil push button on the door, i unhooked them both.. one was the chime, and one was the light that is on the door, i always am working on my car and didnt want the battery to die..

www.hmaservice.com

i worship this website...there are all sorts of wiring diagrams&&whatnot... you've gotta register, and it doesn't work with firefox... but yeah just go to "service information" on the top left, and you can select your specific car (also by VIN number!) and search for door chime or whatever needed... good luck!

tibbie, we also worship webtech (hma) and its infinite knowledge but you dont have to register if you use the username found in the DIY websites thread

Logon is RDT and I finally memorized the password, Sm9vbw==, its a tuffie to remember lol.

And my tib already had the door chime removed when i got it, i didnt even know there was an annoying chime until i got in selinas car one time and i was like "what the hell is that ringing!?!?!"

^^ Might have died like mine. Like a month after I got it, it started only coming on half of the time. Then it just stopped.

The only thing I've ever left broken on a car. lmao.gif
