This is sort of a off topic, i think.. mmm beer.. brb..
ok, I saw an article i think it was a DIY or someone showing it.. Glowing Needles, with LEDs behind them. I remeber seeing it somewhere but for the drunken state i was in, can't for the life of me remeber where. Can someone point me too it. It was transparent Needles, with a Superbright LED behind them, shining thro. or, would just removing the paint from the needle work too?

those are my gauges, i wrote a little how to somewhere in there. basically, you just have to open it up and figure out where to put things. i have the leds aimed towards the little "light director thingy".

The trick is getting the orange paint off of the back of the needle and getting an led mounted behind the black cap that the needle attaches to....might just be easier to buy them...lol. It depends on how much patience and time you have I guess....well and money.

well, i blew up the relay for them and all the other illuminations becuase i damaged the recirc switch trying to get that to be blue. im getting a new switch from Redz, and i bought a cheap RD1 gauge cluster off of ebay to tinker with, cause ripping outta the car everytime sucks.
dont mean to hijack but... i know the clusters are slightly different, but will the RD1 cluster fit and work in the RD2?

No, the clusters won't fit eachother.
No, that BRIGHT ass needle mod does NOT work on our needles, even with modification.
No, 1st Gen and 2nd Gen Gauge Faces are NOT the same, yes, they ARE similar.
What switch Tibby?
