Do you think JVC decks can be ranked up there with Pioneer and Alpines?

In terms of sound quality? For some of the high end JVC double dins, are pretty cheap prices.

I've owned 2 JVC head units along with several Pioneer/Premere, Kenwood Excelons, and one Alpine deck.
I've never hooked an amp to a JVC just because it hasn't worked out that way, but I have been very happy with the JVC units. My latest one is a digital only (No CD/DVD/cassette) that I bought from Crutchfield for $100. It had all the features I wanted and at $100 I wasn't going to panic if it gets stolen from in the Miata when I have the top down. To my surprise the sound is actually excellent even through the factory speakers. It goes much louder without distortion than I would have expected. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another deck form JVC.
