Default Dash Paint

Hey I'm looking to paint my dash, any suggestions as to what type of paint I should use. Spray or can? And also should I use anything else after it is painted, and sort of coat.

From all the posts I've read about painting your dash.. the general outline of it is you want to lightly sand the stock dash to make the paint stick, spray on a coat of paint, let it dry, wetsand it, repeat that like 2 times, then you use a clearcoat, do the same thing I think it was, spray it on lightly, let it dry, wetsand it, put another coat on, etc. I think that's a general outline. Dunno if that was any help.. but if you do a search, you should find plenty about painting your interior, or even just look through some of the old threads from the Interior Mods forum, you should find plenty of info to explain it nice and thoroughly.

Wet sanding is taking a fine grit sandpaper, and getting it damp, then sanding the object.. I think that's what it is, or how I understood the explanations from this forum.. oh, and also, CyberGreg has a really cool interior dash, he's painted it a couple times I believe, here's a link to his site where he give details about how to paint it. http://communities.msn.com/HyundaiTiburon&...&naventryid=110
Hope that helps, I haven't done my interior, but thinking about it, and I read that page, makes it sound as easy as something like that could be

Yeah, I've heard the HDK ones are pretty bad.. I guess they have a bad leakage problem too... dunno I really don't like the look of them though. I think the stock first gen taillights look pretty cool themselves. rolleyes.gif
