does anyone know if it is possible to switch the dash from a 2nd gen tib to a 1st gen?

 

Yeap it is very possible. I did it then decided to paint my old on silver so I sold it to a guy I know that wanted to do the same thing. I will warn you though it is not cheap. The face peices alone costed me about $400 then another about $150 for all the other things clock, buttons etc you have to change everything the one good part is that 80% of the 1st gen plugs plug into the new stuff but not all of them (then you have to buy the right harnesses). If you can get all the stuff from the junk yard then go for it but it really is an expensive very expensive mod if your only way to get the stuff is from the factory. But yes it will work and it will fit just be prepared to dish out some major mula.
