I has fed up that no place makes any cool looking grills for our speakers so i came up with my own.
Here are my new grills i have been slowly been working on for weeks. And the trunk is still in progress and under construction lol.

Sorry for the crappy color in this pic:

Wow, too much for my tastes. If someone sits back there, they are going to hurt themselves on that.

Nice! Very Unique. Not quite my taste, but will definitely catch attention. I would fill in the shark area with speaker mesh from the back to hide the speaker completely, and give the illusion of depth. Shouldnt effect sound too much and will have a more finished look IMO.

ill probably use a flexible led strip rather than rigging single LEDs. It would be easier that way, and much less work. I noticed in the tutorial that he ran the LEDs off the remote wire for his AMP. Is that safe? Because im planning on spitting the remote wire for another amp soon. Will it be too much power used off that wire?

And i like the idea of seeing the speakers. They look good and why not show people, ya know?

It just looks kind of half finished to me. Its in the design I think. If you would have had a sharks mouth opening and the center of the mouth was the speaker, it would look much better. Still looks great, but I would consider filling in the silhouette of the shark with mesh. My .02. smile.gif

Yeah, I agree with majik. I tried it myself, looks fricken great, everyone I show loves it!

And it's fairly easy. I wired mine into the fusebox and put a switch in the covered console. Huge compliments though. Would look great on yours, especially if you add mesh, like tibbytib posted. To combine the two would look sick!!!

Ill most likely put a nice chrome grill behind the shark cut out since everyone thinks it would look nice. I hope it gives the depth effect. And ill work on the lights too.
What wire can i connect the LEDs too for the rear. I dont want to run wires to the front of the car so would the remote wire on my amp be enough to power it?

Dude, I think chrome is a GREAT idea! Would reflect the LEDS nicely as well! You'll need to find out how much output the remote puts out. On an older setup, I beleive with a panasonic headunit, I was able to run lighting and some cooling fans off of the remote wire from my head unit. BUT....DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS until you know how much amperage that little remote wire is gonna give you. You'll then need to calculate how many LEDs you are going to run and what they will draw. If you are within limits to your head units remote out lead, then I say go for it.

If not.....It really wouldnt be to much trouble to get yourself a relay that you can use to turn on the leds with a signal lead from that same remote amp wire from your head unit.

my output on the headunit is 300mA and in the manual for my amp the remote input requires 1mA. Ill look into the LEDs and see what the power req would be for both
