Default Custom Sub Box for 2k tib.

Ok here's my idea. I know this has been done before so I am asking for help. I want to make a custom sub box that is a false floor to the hatch of my 2k tib. I have access to equipment to do it but i have some questions. I want the floor to cover the entire bottom of the trunk. But I realize this is going to be hard to do because the outline of the trunk is all curvy and stuff. Will I be able to make the floor part out of one piece of wood? I'm not sure I will be able to get it in place if it is one giant piece.
How should I make the stencil for this? I need help. Please give me input.

you might have to make it in two pieces or you can just make one but you'll have to put the seats down to make it fit. easiest thing to use is cardboard. put like a box for the height of the false floor then put the cardboard on top and draw and cut it out.

Do you mean that I could get one piece in by going through the back seats. Once in could i put the seats back up. Not quite sure what you meant. Also I am using my 2 12's that I have in a regular box. So if i did two peices and i get them in should I just screw them together?

well im saying to get the full one piece false floor you should beable to lower the seats. put it in with no probs and put the seats back up. if you did two pieces you could just do like half and half and set it up on top of the box. you dont have to screw it down if you dont want to. but im saying to make sure you get the right outline.

lay down the box where you want it. lay a big piece of cardboard on top and start trimming down. because the floor will be shaped differently higher/lower.

The first thing to do is to get some plaster and pour it into the spare tire hole so you have an exact model of the dimmesions to make the enclosure.

I'm not really planning on using the space in the spare tire well. I am planning on making a FULL false floor. I want to keep my spare in there. So i plan on putting it all on top of it. I know it will be imposibile to get to.

Then you are not building a false floor as much as you are building a box. Your box just has to be a little taller than the mounting depth of your subs. Build a simple retangle box then attach sides to it that fill the rest of the space in your hatch. The sides don't need to be functional for anything but to support any weight you may put on them. Once you have those three pieces complete and attached together simply cover them with the same type of material (ie: viynl, carpet, or leather) to cover all the seams in your wood working. You could even recess places for your amp(s) to go on either side of the actuall sub box. Hope that helps.

My question is more on the false floor building than the sub box building. I know there specific amount of space you need behind subs, but I don't know where to find out how big. I know every sub requires something different. I have 2 12 inch eceipse, i forgot the model though.
