CRAZY IDEA!!!
My Elantra GL didn't come with a spoiler, so I had a factory unit installed at my dealership. Looks great- the problem is that my car now has FOUR brakes lights, the two tail lights, the one in the rear window, and now the LED light in the spoiler. It looks kinda dumb with the one in the window and the spoiler coming on... So my idea is to disassemble the light in the rear window, take the red plastic piece out of the light, apply black electrical tape to the back side of it, then cut out a Hyundai symbol, then reassemble it. Then when I apply my brakes, a red Hyundai symbol will light up for those behind me to see.
I know its rice, but I'm the only one who's come up with it.
What do you guys think?

Thats a cool idea but, I totally agree with wierdguy...DONT use electrical tape! You should use a high temp. paint. I would apply like 2-4 coats just to ensure that only the part you mask off glows. If you do it right, it looks really cool...there is a guy where I live that did his spoiler light to say "Bye Bye"

It isn't perfect, but the end result is awesome.
What I intended to do was mask off a Hyundai symbol, paint, then remove the tape to reveal the symbol. Instead, I simply applied 4 coats of high heat paint to the back-side of the reflector, used a blow-dryer to speed up the drying process, then I used the Mastercraft Rotary tool my girlfriend gave me for Christmas and etched out the symbol from the paint. I'm fairly artistic, and have a steady hand, so it turned out really good. Once I put it back together, the imperfections were a little harder to notice. When I apply the brakes, a little red Hyundai symbol appears.
