Components
yeah they look cool but they arent that good for sound quality.
id rather make some kickpanels or arch the speaker in the doors toward the seats and put the tweets in the fartherst part of the a pillars.
i've pretty much narrowed my search down to these three.
Alpine SPX 1772 $230
Diamond Audio S600a/s $300
Orion P.6.2 $160

Look cool?
THey don't look anything special, and you definately can't see them installed at all.
All I know is they sound awesome. Highs, lows, mids, everything.

yeah i mean i looked em up but they just look cool.
i dont see how having the tweeter in the bottom of the door could sound good but ya know, i'm probably a little more picky.
u really dont even want a sub?

Of these three, I'd take the Alpine type X over the others. I have Infinity reference comps, and they are ok but the tweeters can be a bit harsh for my ears, and the midbass is lacking. Also check out CDT, I have heard very good things about them. If you're a member at sounddomain, send a PM to djdilliodon. He is a dealer for CDT and can recommend a specific set and get you a great price.

I have audiobahn 3 ways in the front and rear. They sound so friggin good I don't even want to put in subs.
I concur hail.gif
i had the same Audiobahns as REDZ and i agree about their quality. everything was very crisp and clean...
however, in one of my older cars, i had the BEST (in my opinion) in regards to components. Even though they were the cheaper "Reference" series, Infinity makes the best speaker EVER. the Kappa series is definately better, but the Reference was such a great speaker. i had 'em in 6x9 in the rear and 3½'s in the front. (GM car)

Yeah, Pat heard them, very impressive. It's been good enough to break my passenger mirror assembly too.
LOL
As a matter of fact, ABQElantra went and bought the same speaker setup for his RD1.
