I know everyone either has painted or thought about painting their dash. Well I have been there and done that. I just recently got a 2nd Gen dash, and was wondering if anyone else has just clear coated the dash. Any Pics?

Just clear coated the dash without adding any paint first? I would probably sand the dash as smooth as I could get it first...

well everyone must sand or scuff the surface first.. for the paint to "stick" to.. then you can paint, then clear, then wet sand the bumps and imperfections from the clear.. then buffer it to finish.

I never sanded mine, I used duplicolor plastic prep primer. Then I used there gunmetal wheel paint and applied there wheel clear coating. So far it has been tough as nails! I have had it on there for over six months.
