Well today i was installing my other amp where the 6x9s used to go and decided to dynamat the entire area. You can see the mr2 vent and how the air would go up over the wheel well into the last hole that goes into the amp rack. the big hole is covered by the amp setup.

^ You wouldn't want someone to stick a (watering) hose in that vent... It could do quite a bit of damage.

well the screen is fiberglassed to the vent so nothing can get into through it. and the amp right there is on a base so its not exposed. id have to be driving for the water to get up into the middle amp rack

That sounds like a sweet setup...

Did you just get rid of the 6X9's, or did you move them?

I always thought that space would be a great location for transporting prohibited items across the border. wink1.gif

Although it wouldn't work for your tib thanks to the vents. No life of smuggling for you.

I covered up all the holes in those locations with sound dampening material, sticking parts of a second sheet from behind for a double layer.

^^^ trust me, its been in my mind plenty of times. its perfect, just pull the speaker, throw it in, and put the speaker back in....at least a few lbs in each side.

yeah i messed it all up with the vents. but i could make a board to cover the vent for the purpose...but who would want to smuggle drugs across the border cool.gif

i have it doubled up too where the 6x9 would go.
