yeah, it is.. adam, have you seen the 3m stuff im talking about.. they have it at most auoparts stores.. comes in a roll, about 6" wide.. it looks VERY real. i have seen it on a few cars and you can't tell until your close enough to try and examine the depth.

edit: badshah, how much did you get conned into paying for this super fake painted CF dash replacement?

Socks: I saw it, but I wouldn't think about using it. I've seen it before at car shows. It looks great, then I start to wonder, I get up closer and start examining it, and once I find the tell-tale stretched vinyl appearance, it takes away all the magic and looks cheaper then if they had just painted it.

seems like that fake stuff that 3m makes.. if not stretched and used on like a fuel door or some small custom cut areas it would look good. but if people tried to stretch it around contours and use seams, then it would look like complete garbage.

You can tell its not real but the quality looks great and it looks good for what it is. I like it I wish the grey was a little darker though it would probably look more realistic

Nice interiour socks!!!

The box says, made in korea and it was all packed, so I really don't think he painted it or whatever..

anyway.. even though it isnt real cf, i still think it looks quite good and shines very well if you see it in reallife

Please answer these questions.

1. Where did you get this? What is the name of the person/company?

2. Can you get pics of the boxes/packaging for me please?

3. How much did you pay for them?

foxxy, its a true CF overlay, not a sticker. Socks had his done at at a place in ohio, the name of the website i can't remember.

I priced quoted it at roughly 500 bucks for everything that Nate had done in his interior or at least that is what he quoted me a few months back for everything you see in that old pic. redsharktiburon has the dash kit in his car now.

when i get my type-r wing in i'm going to have the center section of the wing plus the dull grey areas of my kdm dash overlayed. call it rice or not i could care less, I think it looks nice and that is all that matters.

I will be having CD do my overlays if the price is right. fing02.gif

i found a actual place that takes your interior trim pieces and makes real full cf version of them. not cheap, he is offering a audi S4 interior trim piece package for 850.00 TYD, ouch.

i don't think it look all that bad bashdah bud but there is a difference between going for a look and getting the real look.
